The holotype, MSM P4166, was discovered in the Moreno Hill Formation. A cladisticanalysis indicates that Jeyawati was more plesiomorphic (ancestral) than ShuangmiaosaurusTelmatosaurus, and Bactrosaurus, but more derived (less like the common ancestor) than EolambiaProbactrosaurus, and Protohadros.[1]
